 Expecting no better than a mid pack placement for this, and probably a low 5. I expect some serious technical problems to hold it down, including so-so composition and the strip light across the musicians face. Not much I could do about that, but I like the story conveyed by this. Hopefully the street photography lovers will see the same thing in it that I do, in spite of the flaws.

Off to a far better than expected start. Hope it holds up.

Post-challenge notes:
Never expected this kind of performance out of this scene. Another example to prove that it just works best to enter what I like and don't try to second guess what others want to see.

Funny that you mentioned the lighting in the musicains face. The first thing I thought when I seen this was, "why is that guy trying to eat those lights?"

ha - when i voted on this, i didn't even realize the guy in front was playing the piano. i need to slow down when voting. i did like it tho - but I appreciate it even more now.

Grog not make halos this time. Givers-of-comments not like halo. Grog make unicorn head this time. Grog get good comments and many high votes.

Grog now have mass appeal figured out (Grog say stop laughing!).

I like how nice and busy this is. The non-dialog between the player and the shopper, while the lady in the back turning her back is revealing.

This is awesome. I love the natural border made by the wall, and especially love the intense expression on that guys face as he stares at a display. You got a real gem here. This photo has such character.
I do dislike the light line running through the piano players head, but there wasn't anything you could have done about that.
