Of course I am happy with the result but I am also quite curious how the other one would have done.

Congratulations on the Red!
The other shot too would've done very well and would've landed a ribbon, I think. Probably not the Posthumous Gallery appreciation though :)

Definitely prefer this shot - the other looks a little more crowded to me.

Congrats on the red.

I have to say I much prefer this image over the other one, but I'm a sucker for symmetry and simplicity, and a staged throwing of the hat like that would have knocked this down from a 10 to probably a 7, no lie. Other people of course prefer people in the shots so there's be a bit more emotion, but to me it's staged and you made the right choice.

Congrats on the ribbon. Was one of the four 10s I dished out in a challenge full of excellent images.

Awesome image. I agree, there is something about that location that generates great images.

Crazy! Interesting comp, interesting processing, Not sure about the border, wondering why some of the lights do not have the same frame as the others. Not voting lower for that just curious.

Awesome pattern and perspective. I absolutely love symmetry and lines, so this is pretty much my ideal photo. Great contrast, simplicity and textures. 10

This will probably get one of those real virtual ribbons, but I have to give this some sort of recognition. I like being dizzied and disoriented this way, plus it maintains an aesthetic elegance.

Almost an abstract feeling to the pattern. Pretty cool perspective.

A ribbon winner in my book. Good sepia conversion, nice symmetric(almost) patterns and a unique perpsective for sure. Since I don't know of any store that sells street lights - I'm very curious as to where this is :)

This is a pretty cool effect. Reminds me of a fractal. Definitely the coolest pictures of lightposts that I have ever seen

This is officially my final five countdown towards my 10,000th comment. It suddenly acquired enormous portent for me, so I chose the final five from the thumbnails. This is number 9,996.

I am very familiar with this installation, and have wanted to shoot it for quite some time now. In fact, this is the pov that I have wanted to shoot, so thanks a lot. I'm going out on a limb here and guessing that this is by mgarsteck, as he's a local, and the editing reminds me of his work. If this is NOT Matt, consider it a compliment.

I really like this image for all its lines (real and implied), and the exceptional editing to maintain all the tonal ranges. There is a lot of movement, especially considering how fixed these lights are, and I feel as though I'm zooming through space, or that time is zooming towards me.
