I like the rule breaking as well. I thought the title was that children make the globe a warmer place. But, it's Iceland and could have a more literal meaning than that.

Fantastic shot. One of my few 9s.

I don't get the title but I really like the scene. Makes you wonder what catches her interest here.

Oh, dear. She's leaving the frame. You've broken the first and last rule of photography. Extra points for breaking rules.

I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.

Positives: This one hits you as soon as it comes up on the screen. Wonderful POVe, beautifully caught light, engaging subject and superb clarity. But most of all it's the balance... the way this is all portrait but how the environment, the background, the context isn't lost at all but actually 'presents' the subject, set her up, augments her. I'm not sure how you've achieved that - perhaps it is the synergy of colours.

Critical stuff: Nothing at all.

Overall: A flat-out great photo.

Cute kid!

I would have horizontally flipped the image. We read from left to right and the I think the subject should be seen first.

I also think the levels could have been adjusted to lighten the picture or the dodge tool could have been used on the skin to lighten up your cute little model :) The dodge tool could also have been used on the reflection.

I don't understand the title.

One of my favorites. The title, the blue, the perspective, the dof - just lovely.
