 Well - I was so bummed out that this challenge came up just 2 weeks after I'd gotten a great deer shot. I decided I'd try once again at the same spot to see if I could find the same group again for this challenge. I went to the park early Saturday morning and wouldn't you know - there were about 50 runners out scaring the deer away. Luckily at the same spot where I found the other group was the only deer I saw - and it turns out to be a buck - I was thrilled!!! I didn't have time to get out my tripod - I just got off three handheld shots before he ran off - this was the clearest of the bunch. Here's hoping it makes my profile page.

Nice photo of a non-typical buck that looks like he went through some thistle. The colors and details in this photo are very nice.
