Heard the first storms of the season rolling in from the South-West... grabbed the camera, tripod, remote shutter and a towel then run outside and climbed onto my roof.
There was some serious lightning activity that night and I got 21 shots of lightning in total that night. When I saw the screen for this shot and I had 3 bolts of lightning in it I knew I was lucky... and then got down off of my roof quickly :-)
Shot in RAW, adjusted exposure, curves and colours, import into CS3, high pass filter, adjust colours with curves, clone out some minor trees on the horizon, dodge and burn, add vignette, rotate to level horizon, crop, resize, sharpen, add border. |
