Thank you all! I am very happy with this result.

For those wondering, the chalks are hanging on fishing lines connected to the umbrella, and they are pointing down to the floor. Which means that I am bending myself, trying to stay parallel to the umbrella: the image has been rotated to compensate that.

As for the meaning, we all have our secret garden, and often don't show what we really are inside.

Congratulations on the ribbon!
A bit out of the box (what we call in art circles as 'hat ke' in Hindi in India) which is an extension of creativity. I like it and have Favorited it.

"This" is me. The lack of emotion and coldness is intentional (I am wearing white and purple make-up to add to the effect). I wanted to express the fact that someone looking cold, could still be quite different inside: which is expressed by the colored chalks. According to your comment, I succeeded at least in the first part :)

I'm sure this would work very well. I didn't choose that option for 2 reasons:
- It was long enough to tie fishing lines on one side of the chalks, both sides would have doubled the work (not mentioning that fishing lines tend to slip along the chalk)
- Fixing on the floor would have been probably hard, especially in order to keep them parallelized. Letting gravity doing it for me was a safer bet ;)

Fantastic idea and good use of fill flash. The umbrella looks slightly soft to me - probably movement in getting the chalk to sway away from you like that??
