First submission using gimp on linux. Edit was simple, just curves, resize and save as jpg. Have to find out if gimp is capable of all the fancy stuff photoshop knows. I tried it for the tenth time but I still don't like it. It's slow and clumsy to use. And the toolbars take literally most of the screen on my ancient 1024x768 resolution. However, i used CS4 here with no problems!

I was really tempted to pass this over, but there is something very compelling and wonderful about this image. I can't put my finger on it, but it's whimsical and dark at the same time. It really grows on you!

Cute idea. I like the lighting in this shot. I wonder if it could have been even strong with a non-centered composition.
