Great color cast and mood to this photo. I really like the shallow depth of field you chose for this photo.

One of only two 9's I gave out in this challenge - ribbon contender. I really like the compositional angle, the warm yet subdued lighting which really compliments the wood, and the focus is perfect on the nearest peg. My only worry is whether the border will get you a DQ. Is this type of border legal in basic?

I really like the single colour this shot represents. However, it's the lighting and DoF that (as well as originality) that sets this above most other's in this challenge.

I'm not sure how I feel about the border. It basically works because the mirrored parts are already OOF except for the LHS tensioning knob that has been split into distinct banding, which creates an unwanted distraction for me. Overall, I really like this and it got an 8 from me.

Nice close up, like the shallow DOF. Like this metal on metal, meets the challenge well. Only critique is that it seems too warm on the WB.
