 This is a copper schooner sculpture in Asbury Park, NJ. It sits atop Convention Hall at the boardwalk. I never imagined it would score this well...

This is cool, looks like the sky is on fire! Is it a real boat or is it a model? And is that a lighthouse in the corner?

Once I drag my eye away from whatever that is in the lower right hand corner, I love this picture. It looks so simple at first, but there is so much there in both the ship and the clouds. I hope the corner does not hurt you as much as one I recently did with a distraction in the corner. I still expect this one to be in the top three.

love the colours, silhouette, everything, but would like to see the pic without the distraction in the right hand corner, apart from that, epic!

Simple, clean and minimalistic - very well done. Love the silhouette of the ship leaving the port. The red sky adds interest and lends itself to the well known saying that the title alludes to. A very strong composition but I wish there was just one extra thing to make the pirate theme even stronger....hmmm, something like cannon fire, but I know it not be possible with the ship ye be sailin';-) (unless this be a real ship and foolish me for thinking it was a model)

Glorious!!!! How incredibly beautiful and well-suited to the challenge. My only nit is that I'd have cropped off the dark portion of the sky and made this a less square composition. I think the darkness draws my eye there, and away from the ship, but it isn't rewarded by anything when I get there.

I like the sense of space in this, and the slightly 'different' composition, but not the 'thing' (?) in the bottom right hand corner. Could it not have gone?
