 Downtown Dallas at just before sundown. Didn't get the shot I had orginally envisioned, with the sunset colors glancing off the buildings. The sun was peeking in and out of the clouds and it just didn't work the way I needed. Fortunately, there were some kids riding their bikes around the pond and I managed to snap a shot of one little girl at the right spot to act as a major point of interest. The b/w treatment worked nicely where the color version just looked weird. I almost didn't enter this one because I doubted it could do well. I think that was just due to the fact that my end result was so fat off from what I originally had envisioned.

Post-challenge notes:
A nice score and placement, though only receiving a single comment on a 6+ entry is somewhat unusual.

This is a really lovely B&W Steve, the girl on the bike and the path leading us to the city, its all just splendid.

Tells a story, well composed and balanced. PP looks a bit rough, lacking sharpness on the girl and bike.
