Landscape orientation since I shot a portrait oriented shot of this wall once before for DPC. Tough building limited to basic rules as the highlights easily blow out without localized exposure. Captured on a somewhat rare foggy morning in Seattle to help even out the light.
I could make this look better without the processing limitations and a tiny bit of cloning would have allowed more composition choices, but hope the voters like it anyway :-)

Edit During Voting:
It's a couple of days into voting on this image, and a thoughtful comment has brought to my attention that my chosen title might draw a connection to the "Western Wall" aka "Wailing Wall" which is a holy site for many cultures in Jerusalem.
Rest assured I meant no connection to this holy site with my title. I was simply keeping things simple and it happens to be a wall on the west side of the EMP building in Seattle.
I truly apologize if my title offended anyone in any way.

Thank you all for the great comments and kind votes. Finally I have a red ribbon for my home page! ;-)
Some of you thought this was the Disney Building in L.A. But it is in fact the Experience Music project building about 900 miles north in Seattle -also designed by Frank Gehry.

Too weird! I use Macs mostly but have Windows 7 in a virtual machine on one. I just fired it up for the first time in months and sure enough found the Windows desktop wallpaper of the same shot! Well makes sense in that this location is a twenty minute drive from the Microsoft Campus...

Just realised after fresh install of Windows 7 that an almost identical picture features in their Architecture desktop theme. Yours is much better!

Nice shot of the EMP Jen! Well I walked by the spot I shot on the way to work this morning. And I used a compass and GPS on my iPhone (yes I'm a geek!) and determined this wall faces due South West :-)

That is what I was thinking too. LOL I love this building, so many fun color choices to choose from. Actually this is my favorite side of the entire building. I just used this builing for the rectangle challenge last month (the south wall).

Gorgeous image and congrats on your red ribbon!!

Thanks Frank! Crazy Seattle streets run at weird angles! I just checked the satellite image, and I guess you are more right that me about the location of this wall. It's at the SE corner of the building and faces mostly South and maybe a little bit west. :P

My most favourite building in Seattle! I don't think I've ever seen quite these colours there, but close. I love this building, and your photo of it.

For those that want to know; this was shot in morning fog.
This building really does change dramatically depending on the light at the time and can be amazingly colorful.

So how did you get these colors? Your exif doesn't give the time of day you took this.

This really is lovely, congrats. I'm guessing you saturated the hell out of it in pp, but perhaps those are the true colors.

This must be the Disney performance hall. I'm actually surprised I have not seen more photos of it in this challenge.

Or, it could be a close view of the exhaust on a Harrier jet, but then that wouldn't be in an architecture challenge, would it?

Nice abstract. Funny that no matter what you do to this building, you can't disguise it.

This is by far one of the more intriguingly tactile images I've seen of the Disney. The colors are to die for, it's beautifully rendered. It's actually my top pick in what, for me, is a very weak challenge.

That said, I'm a little put off by the title, and here's why: in the Judeo-Christian cultural tradition, Jerusalem's "Western Wall" (aka the "Wailing Wall") is one of the holiest sites in the world. To the extent that this title calls up allusions to the Jerusalem wall, it's a little perturbing, and I can only assume you wouldn't want those allusions to be there.

Very likely I'm the only one that feels this way, though, and in any case it doesn't affect my scoring, it's just an observation.

Really liking all the modern looks in the challenge, not sure what this building is (or if it's a building) but this is a great detail
