The photo is one of those rare ones that I fell in love with as soon as I saw it on the screen, so it is lovely that it has resonated with others as well. I took the photo while on a camping holiday on the Isle of Harris - one of the Outer Hebrides, off the North-West Scottish coast. The weather was pretty awful, but on our last day the wind dropped and the sun kept popping out. We visited a lovely secluded bay, and the banks down to the beach were full of flowers - the light was just amazing, and I am sure that is what has leant the softness to the image. I had to do virtually no processing - just a crop and slight sharpen for web - I may have a play around with it and see if I can de-emphasise the twiggy bits at the bottom.

Gorgeously soft and dreamy. Really shows the beauty of what most commonly see as a mere weed.

... where the petals themselves look like little pinkish-purple bees!

This image has a lot of potential.. I love the colors and the processing. However, I don't think the centered composition works for the subject here. Also, some of the foreground strands that are in focus are distracting. It would have been better if they were cloned out or blurred. 6

Oh wow. I actually gasped when I saw this.

The inclusion of the upper left 'weed' is brilliant. The colors... lovely.

Well done!
