This is great, I missed it the first time around. The lone adult, either in thought, or looking for divine intervention, turns this into a alien, surreal scene.

| Amazing shot. It's rare that I don't give ribbons in a free study, but I never got back to bump my 7s and narrow down the top ones. Just too busy this week. This was one of my contenders. |

| Hunt has been successful! Grog (with small help of Thag and Kron) brings home mammoth for tribe. All tribe celebrates outside cave. Younglings do ancient dance of plenty. Much joy is had. Except for Krag (on left). Krag is picky eater (Krag says he "gormay"). Does not like mammoth meat. Wants quiche and fondue. Grog think Krag is little funny. |

I'm not a member so I can't vote on member challenges. Instead, I look through the entries for images that make me stop clicking on to the next one. This is one of those images....
A unique vision. I haven't seen anything quite like it. You've made something mysterious and ethereal out of what could have been a pretty pedestrian image. Hope it does well. |

| I'm a sucker for these types of shots. Love the candidness, rays of light, and sheer joy of the children. The fact you have clarity in some areas and just a slight silhouette in others adds to the appeal. NICE! |

I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.
Positives: I really like this shot - the coloration and light are tremendous, there are a number of compelling elements and actually, if I really look, I think there are a multitude of editing possibilities here.
Critical stuff: Nothing really, your choices are fine. I think I'd have been tempted to crop down to the child more, taking out the dancers to the right - I think the context becomes very ambiguous than and the mystery (and thus story) of the image is enhanced.
Overall: A highly interesting image. |

| This is a great shot! I would love to see how this would look slightly darker and in B&W - ie showing more of a silhouette with that lovely lighting. |
