Great composition on this... the tree(s) and the house, the earth and the sky... wonderfully balanced.

Apart from the better camera, better lens etc. etc. this is far superior to the original through composition. That curving path is much more enticing than the straight one.

Greetings from the Critique Club...

This image is rather difficult for me to critique. I don't really see anything I don't like about it. It's a decent landscape shot. It's one of those photos that might be difficult for a random viewer (such as myself) to connect with. A landscape like this one generally has some interest to the photographer who shot it... something that comes from within... Maybe this is your property or a place where you grew up or just something you see every day that feels special to you in some way or another. As an outsider, I can't really connect with much of this scene. It probably is an interesting improvement over the original as intended by the challenge though.

In my personal opinion, landscapes are some of the most difficult photographs to make successful in the public eye. You need a strong subject or anchor point in the scene that really draws an outsider into your frame of thought. In my opinion, the light is the strongest part of this theme. I'm not as much of a fan of the sky tones, whether they be natural or post processed.

Wow. That's harsh. I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed, but I found the original "070108".

Yep, my DNMC voting was harsh in this one. I tried using that number as an image id and I tried searching on combinations of the words but didn't think the number would be the title. I would have voted a 6 if I had found, or was guided to, the original.

There's a bit of HDR glow around the big tree to the left of the frame. The path seems a bit too bright as well.

Nice shot....I think the lighting should have been a little different (not under your control) I definately like the subject and the cloud cover.

This version is excellent. Great colors, gives the scene life. I like the "angle" of this shot compared to the original; I like how the road gently bends to the left instead of straight down in the original. Nice job.
