 Argh, food colouring everywhere! :)

Simple set up with one speedlight on the background to give everything a nice glow and definition to the glass. Took a little while to assemble the pipette rig but worth it in the end I think as I'm rather pleased with this one - even if it bombs with the voters.

Seems to be doing well and in the low 7's atm having been up at 7.5 for ages - hope it hangs in there :) A validation request was raised during voting on this shot which I took as a huge compliment! Well on course for a new PB so colour me happy!

This is a beautiful shot! Congrats on the blue!

But not that I know it's pipettes, I would have loved to have seen drips coming out of the bottom and falling randomly! (drat, I supposed that wouldn't be order... :)

ooh! I just noticed that it's your first ribbon -- and a blue to boot! Double congrats!

I did some reading on the colours of the rainbow just now, and wikipedia, at any rate, seems to give 7 colours in the spectrum. It's a big debate, I think, and I'm far from an expert in that field, so I can't justify using that as an excuse to take marks off.

Yours is an excellently composed image. I like the background and the lighting (and I've no idea how you did it!).
My only problem with it is that as the colours narrow at the bottom the... vibrancy of the colours appears to diminish. This might have been intentional but I think I'd've preferred a continuous strength.
You gonna tell us how you did this? :)

This looks like a magazine ad for a paint company. Nicely done. Great shapes, depth on each strip, and color saturation.
