Probably a Spiny Assassin Bug nymph (Sinea spinipes) but I can't be certain. Definitely in the Sinea family. There are quite a few of these odd little things lurking in the garden. Bad news for their prey.

36mm + 20 mm extension tubes, handheld, diffused flash.

PP - rotated, cropped, increased saturation on red-yellow, increased contrast, slight dodge/burn on bug, resized, sharpened, added border.

That is one ugly and menacing looking bug. I wonder what it eats. good clear shot. Ya gotta love those extension tubes.

Excellent tech in this shot. That's a creepy looking critter. It's a good thing that they are not four ft long. I think that it wants your camera.
