I was totally nude for this shot, no cheating. To take it I had to scramble along the ridgeline in my boots, take off my boots, and jump into lotus position.
It's a few hundred feet down on either side, so it made for an intense shoot. Shot using in camera timer, alas, I now want to invest in a wireless remote.
The idea here is the merging of the self with nature, of removing the physical while joining it.

I found this photograph only now.
Other people hug, kiss and talk to trees to get in touch with nature. But not Derek. He goes into the mountains in his bare butt to meditate and proves it with a photograph.
Nice score, but this deserved a higher score just for the effort you've put in it.
Additionally to this effort, this makes a great picture: well balanced, nice composition, sharp... Great work.

RE: Frozen nuts;

Actually, I was very surprised myself that my feet were the coldest part of my body. I thought it would be way worse than it was. Then again, I've also done the sauna to roll in the snow to sauna thing before too, and find that to be an interesting experience too.
I was taking shots for about 20 minutes before the wind really started kicking up, which then chilled me due to the water I had all over me from melting snow.

Ha ha! I love it! But he must be freezing his nuts off!
