I know this is a bit self indulgent but I cant help myself.
Two days of voting and this image is at 6.9375
Almost beyond comprehension, in 35 challenges I have one score over 6, heaps of 5's and a truck load of 4's.
The first 20 votes saw me over 7.
Then the inevitable drop. But at 50 votes back to 7. Unbelievable.
Dropped under again at 65 votes.

100 vote check in - 6.9300 Very happy

150 vote check in still unbelievable - 6.9533

I think you did an excellent job of using the empty benches to isolate your subject and bring the proper mood to this image. Too many people would have been tempted to crop tightly to the man. The processing and lighting fit very well here, giving the image a harsher, colder feel. Very nice work, and congratulations on a very well deserved riboon.

Congrats on the yellow, teammate! Hopefully this is the beginning of a streak... I sure as hell wouldn't mind high placements like these :)

Good pickup there... I used a new 150mm Sigma 2.8 lens I hadn't added to my list of lenses.
Glad you liked my image.

I dont think this guy was that hard up on his luck, he had new boots, a nice jacket and could afford cigarettes, it was just a little PP that made him look a bit hard up

Cheers

I like the composition and detail. I feel like the bright parts in the bench pull my eye from the gentleman though.

I'm sorry, I just feel there is something inherently wrong about taking a picture of a person without a dime to their name with a thousand-dollar camera. That is, unless, you plan on giving this picture to some homeless awareness/assistance organization to hopefully do some good. Did you get this person's permission? If you sell this photo, will you give them a cut?

A very strong image, with excellent range of mono tones.

Good one, it helps immensely that your subject isn't making eyecontact. I find the entries where the model is making eye contact takes away from the "waiting" feel. This is a superb top ten image.
