I'm surprised your artistry wasn't appreciated in a Free Study. Got an 8 from me. I always love your stuff. :)

Such a strong image - 161st doesn't match my assessment of this image at all. I'd like to offer you this month's WALL?:

This is nixter. After seeing this originally, I went back to a phone booth that had some interesting textures and couldn't mimic your attempt to save my life. It was probably the camera I was using -- it was a real challenge to get the textures on the glass in good focus. And the people passing by weren't exactly going where I wanted them to.

Anyway, great shot! I love this.

this gives me the feeling of someone stuck indoors (prison, illness reasons) wondering what the exists outside the window, not sure this is a window even, but gives me that feeling, maybe the B&W lends itself to that, kept me looking for a while, sign of an interesting photo

Different. To be quite honest, I'm not too crazy about the foreground scratched up glass.

I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.

Positives: Easily the most powerful image I've seen so far in this FS. So many compelling elements - the figures, than hand, the ambiguity of the scene. And then there is the 'surface' I think this might be a reflection in metal but it is just as likely to be us looking through perspex. The way you have focussed on the scratches is of course the secret of the image - it keeps us remote from the scene, we feel hidden, nebulous and to an extent disassociated and uninformed.

Critical stuff: Nothing.

Overall: 10 and a fav. Top drawer stuff.
