My brother climbed to the top of the roof to do some juggling with orange hachy sacks. In the end after 100+ rapid fire shots the best one turned out to be where he had missed 2 of them.

PP in Aperture: colors, crop, and a touch of contrast.

Greetings from the Critique Club

What the heck was he standing on! Tehben I think you have your answer regarding your merely adequate score, from the comments you received. People were so puzzled/entranced by your model's feet that they didn't pay attention to the very fine job you did with this image.

this was good stop-action photography and certainly it met the Challenge beautifully. You even got the lighting to behave nicely.

But that (er) dead fish, or whatever decoration you have on the roof just didn't cut the mustard with our viewers. Dang. (Block those metaphors, Alice)

Good luck with your next Challenge.

Alice

a few points on this bother me...(nothing critical I can assure you) whatever he is standing on is ka-ka, his hand isn't in total focus, but your colors are really great, not to much...just right

Beautiful. sadly that no orange was used for ball. The ball is for these Challenge exactly what too red.

This is a pretty decent shot. I like the nice orange shirt, and the stop motion capture. However, looking up someone's nose is not the most pleasant angle. It looks like his feet have been chopped off by (or he's standing on) an unrecognizable object. I think this would make a great shot in a group of 3 different poses. But, I don't feel it stands on its own all that well...

Interesting picture and good use of orange. But what is he standing on?
I really love the shirt, it is in good focus and an orange that is very pleasing to the eye.
However, I also feel like the orange ball in the bottom left is distracting, and that the vignetting just darkens the picture a lot.

Nice color and lighting, but the thing that he stood on and the orange in the bottom are distracting.

Here's my comments, specifically because you've marked it CW

If I were voting in this challenge I would have given it a 7. I really like the composition and the uncluttered feeling. The balance of it feels just right with his hand close the right edge balanced by the ball at the bottom left. Very nice.

Slightly quirky and it makes me examine it a bit more. What is he standing on top of?
