Thank you to my eldest for her patience with taking this photo. This is a reshoot from one we did a day earlier with a different background - which was way too busy. After doing several spot editing step on this image I saw a big, fat FLAW - one that I am sure that I would not be able to clone out and remain legal.

So...here is hoping not many people have their super critical inspection glasses to notice the brown pillow that was originally covered by her hair. During the several takes the hair slipped off and I did not notice it til too late. ARRRGGG - and this was the best of the 30!

Well not happy at the moment score has dropped down to 5.67 far below my minimum target of 5.8. Drawing from my comments mayhap what is not sitting well with my current audience is the backdrop and the floral lashes. So if you are willing to listen my creative muse gave me:

Inspiration stems from Through the Looking Glass where Alice speaks to talking flowers and from the offbeat backdrops/portraits promo pictures of the characters of the new Alice in Wonderland film.

I do not wish to tear your picture apart, your colors are really good, focus is really good...but her body position looks so very awkward, there's nothing natural about it...she looks very tense

IMO, there is something seriously wrong with the perspective in this shot. A huge part of it is the petal eyelashes, but part of it is also that there is not enough information to know if she is standing or lying down. Same for the angle the shot was taken from. Also, she looks young, but may not be. Head size does not seem to match her arms and shoulders. I also find the background distracting.
Lighting, colors, sharpness are all very good.
This is a technically excellent shot. At the same time, I have a negative emotional reaction to it.

Maybe it's just me, but without the "eyelashes," I think that this would have been truly sweet. As it is, it has become almost a cartoon.

Yet, still it's nice,...7. :)

I like the way you did this. Very nice. Lovely smooth pale skin tones. Unusual background.
