 Well I had done three other separate shoots for this challenge but wasn't really happy with any of them. Then, as we were eating this for dinner I realised that it was perfect for the orange challenge - I must have had orange on the brain when I was planning my meal! :)

This is actually low fat butter chicken, made with light evaporated milk. Each serving is less than 10 grams of fat - and it's really very good. You can find the recipe here: //today.ninemsn.com.au/article.aspx?id=605930

I absolutely love food photography and I'm a sucker for food magazines. I have the long-term goal of one day ribboning with a food shot, and although this won't be it, I'm going to keep trying. As hotpasta has observed many times, food just doesn't score well on DPC. Might have to wait till another food-themed challenge.

I figured this wouldn't do great as like you say, food shots usually don't, but there's no way it deserved to score anywhere below 6! Clearly meets the challenge and a great shot to boot, you was robbed!

Looks like Chicken Tikka Massala to me. Nice use of natural light. Good pristine setting and overall looks appetizing!

One of my most favorite foods. Well presented too. ;)I like the choice for shallow DOF to emphasize the chicken, still having enough texture on the rice to show what it is. Excellent food shot. Now I'm hungry darnit! 8
