Specially purchased this really expensive box of chocolates for the shoot because I liked the exclusive look of the box. Big was my disappointment when I opened the box to discover that the contents looked drab and uninspiring and did not match the quality look of the box at all. So off to the supermarket I rushed and purchased some budget chocolates that looked really great and colorful. Emptied the exclusive box of it's contents and arranged the budget chocolates in the exclusive box for the shoot. Placed box on a mirror and used reflection of lounge wall as background. Shot with camera on tripod using natural daylight from outside diffused by a white bed sheet in conjunction with my onboard flash diffused with a few strips of white toilet paper.
Ps. The exclusive chocolates looked uninspiring but tasted really sublime and the rose is real, not a fake.

LOL! I was wondering if the chocolates would serve a dual purpose, and I see that they did! And yes, you should randomly bring your girlfriend chocolates even when you don't need them for a challenge! Huge congrats an another addition to your top row - two at a time is pretty impressive!

I like the choice of bg color, it complements the chocolate beautifully. I also like the use of the rose, it brings out some of the decorative elements on the candy.

cant really fault this, the bg is bit of a sickly color to me but it works perfectly

Everything about this is perfect, lighting, focus, subject, nice addition of the rose as well. There's nothing I can see that I would change, good job! I gave you a 10.

The light on the chocolate is perfect, but the reds in the flower are blown.

The colors in this are as rich as I imagine the bon-bons would taste. Nice design.

Perfect. Well composed and well lit. The rose is the perfect accent that raises it to a higher level.

Very nicely lit - the details are very good on the candy

The chocolates look perfect, but that rose looks strange. Almost like it was posterized. One of my favorites.

LOVELY JOB! I can almost reach out and feel them, they're so well photographed!

My only nitpick is that I think there needs to be at least a small bit of shadow at the base of the box. It appears to be floating. (Not voting)

Great exposure on the chocolates. I really dislike the way you have processed the background though, and the follow-on affects on the flower.
