Greetings from the Critique Club!

My first impression was whoa this person went all out on the challenge! The blue and red complement each other greatly. Somehow I got stuck with critiquing all the top pictures of the challenge, really not fair. Someone mentioned that there is dust in the background. This may be true but I think it might simply be snow falling. If it is in fact dust then it actually adds to the scene.

I do like this version better than your outtake. In the outtake the tool (I don't actually know what it is called) seems to be overshadowed by the mountain in the background. I also ike the wider landscape shown in this one.

It's a very good product shot with nothing to change or fix really, you should consider contacting Black Diamond :). Sorry I couldn't be of more help!

If you have any questions click here to message me!

Brrr. This is a very nice shot, the contrast of the red with the snow is wonderful a dyou did a great job ensuring that the silver doesn't get lost in the bg.

Nicely done but your background photograph appears to have some dust spots on it.

Bold and different product shot - would work well in a catalog, I think. (Commenting only.)

nice product placement with planet of room for text for the advert. I think that the snow is just about right maybe a tad too bright. There does appears to be some white spots appears in the shot. I don't know if they are falling snow or dust on the lens but I would have cloned them out.

first thought was that someone was trapped under the snow, but managed to stick his pick out for help. at least this caught my attention to make me think about what I was seeing, that's gotta be good for sales right?

This was actually almost exactly one of my alternate ideas... except I was going to use the Raven Pro, not ultra. Nicely Executed.
