My nephew Alex attempting to be a tough guy for the camera. I won't ruin it for him by telling him they are only toy ray guns. He looks a little crazy-dangerous to me.

This shot just kind of happened without any real intention of shooting for the challenge. I set up the lights, got out some props and shot some fun pictures of the kids. Afterwards, I realized one of them might be perfect for this challenge. I love the wild-eyed look on his face. I've been trying to get better with my shots of people and I'm pleased with this one, though it's not perfect.

Anticipated critiques:
-Boring white background
-Background is just a tad darker on the right side.
-Several white spots of bright reflections on the frames of the glasses. (Well, that's basic editing rules for 'ya.)
-Toys are not the main subject
-Band on his wrist doesn't suit the image.
-My own personal critique is that I wish he'd been holding the triggers so that the ray guns were lit up.

Post-challenge notes:
Well, I thought it was better than that, but don't we all? Best I can figure is it was either found boring or I got heavily penalized for the toy not being the main subject.

Yes Steve. I believe that voters penalized you for the toy not being the main subject. However, I really love this shot, and technically its very good.

Cheers

I feel the model is the main subject and the toys secondary. Maybe it doesn't matter.
