This surf fisherman obligingly wandered into my viewfinder. I was really surprised that he stayed as still as he did, as long as he did.

I used a 3.0 neutral density filter to slow things down. The idea came from KarenNfld.

nice painterly feel. The bardges? in the distance - I can't decide if they add anxiety or distract. A strong piece though with nice tones.

4 - Don't mind the blur, but the crop and finished feel to the image seems to need more refining.

appealing blur and beautiful subtle palette. the three nearly-evenly-spaced ships really make this for me.

Were one to so desire, one could attach religious significance to this - a fisher of men, the three Magi in the distance. Mostly, though, it's a lovely quiet presentation of the stillness and wonder of morning.

My canned response: whatever one's definition is of fine/contemporary/modern art, I think this entry is too much like business as usual at DPC. In this case: a seascape, long exposure to make water silky.

However, I like the combo of blur with the mostly silhouetted figure, and the three little ships on the horizon are interesting.

Would I hang it on my wall. Probably not, but still a nice picture. However I judge on what I would hang in my apartment. I don't know if the "out of focus" stile is a good idea. Sorry, only a 4

Good idea and suits the challenge. Someting is amiss though maybe it is the focus.

Good pastel sunset reflected in the water. Nice slow shutter speed capturing the movement. For once I am going to say I don't think there is quite enough blur here. The fisherman is slightly blurred but still looks clear. I would like to see some more blur.
