Two aspects had affected the rating for this photo:
one is the ample negative space. Not all viewers like the same and the moment you make an overload of that, some people tend to leave you low scores.
Second, I didn't understand the meaning of those 3 dimensional lines. Was it intentional or maybe small areas which was left out while making a light-tent? Whichever way, the same is not giving anything extra to the otherwise wonderful egg, and IMO could have been avoided.

what a pretty egg... IMO the lighting is a little harsh, and the background doens't seem to compliment the colored egg...

to me this seems quite grainy...is it from a strong cropping? Here is were noise reducing software could really help out

I would have preferred either not seeing, or seeing better, the lines in the lower and upper left.
