 Taken at Southwold on Valentine's day. I was lucky bcause that morning it was raining, snowing and it was really cloudy as well. Than the sun came out so I could take this image. Pretty much liked the contrast between the concrete pavement and nature...

GREETINGS FROM THE CRITIQUE CLUB

You have presented an interesting and compelling image here and it was rewarded nicely by our voters. That, along with the generous comments you received leave me little work to do.

Your frame, which seems to be in vogue lately, suits the image and at the bottom, actually makes a kind of extension to the picture and leads the viewer into the scene. Nice. Your previous entries tell me that you enjoy black and white work. This is another good example of it. Nice lights and darks where they are needed as you create an atmosphere within your picture story.

I look forward to seeing more of y our work one of these days. Soon, perhaps?

ugh, that border!!! i love this shot, especially the grain, but i really don't see how the border adds to it. still, a solid score from me, 8

funny that you titled it no cycling when the first thing I see is the ocean waves then my eye pulls to the staris, then onto the side walk - I think that is very effective :-)
