St Patrick's Cathedral in New York City.

[Feb. 12th, 2010 07:30:44 PM]

This would have been centered if tripods were usable at St Patricks Cathedral. I do have one that is but it's a bit blurry. I shot this while in NYC on vacation but had not thought to use it in this challenge until I had no entry for things that count. I wanted to name this something that would let the viewer realize that this is the perspective of every Catholic that enters a pew but that would have been hard to just with a title. I'm glad we got such a nice photo while we were there. Enjoy!

Top 20, Kevin! Congrats - a great photo in spite of the your inability to sneak a tripod in. :P

Really cool. I'm actually kind of liking the change from down-the-aisle points of view in churches/cathedrals. The sharpness is excellent, as are the colors.

Very impressive architecture, I think I might have stood right in the middle of the aisle to give symmetrical leading lines.

Great horizontal lines created by the pew ends and vertical lines with the rising columns give this super wide shot perspective in two dimensions. The warm gold tones add to the appeal of this image. I am sure this could ribbon!
