This was shot for the "parts of the human form" challenge, but I used a different shot, because I figured the fact that it was grainy and slightly soft would go against me. However, I think it adds to the nostalgic feel I was attempting. Thanks to my daughter for doing this shot!

Around our house, that's called "helping"! We get lots of "help"!

I like the nostalgic feel and look - the 'modern' appliance on the left detracts a little, but minor and likely mess up the composition any other way. I like the brown paper bag element on the left too. Certainly a nice moment captured. I especially like the interaction between the human and the furface. I hope you take this out of your Workshop, so it shows up in my Site Favorites.

I love it! It has this fun 50's feel to it. I need a trained cat like this lol. I think the grain is perfect. The only thing that takes away from the nostalgic feel is the modern buttons on the dishwasher lol. But you gotta go where the cat is :)

Lov e the "old-time" feeling - could be right out of the 50's.

Great 50's feel and I love the way you choose not to show too much of the woman.

Nothing wrong with soft and grainy. Straight out of the 50s/60s.

Ooh, love how old fashioned this looks with the retro styling and the colour grade, and even the vignette. Uber cool.

You have certainly captured the nostalgia. This really looks like it came from the middle of last century.

I really like this. Totally retro shot with a '50s feel to it. It could be a commercial for cat food.

perfect colors for the scene and a great capture ... i would have liked a touch more light on the cat and a little less on the lady for a better point of interest.

i like the tones you used here it gives a 1950's feel to the image and the vignetting adds so much too
