 Awosting Falls

A beautiful hike in the Catskills with my wife on MLK Day.
When we first got to the fall in the morning, the light was coming in too much from the front. THe rock wall behind the water was in full sun light.
I was returning later, when the sun illuminated the fall, but the rock wall behind the falling water was already in the shade.


HDR from 5 exposures
Photomatics
Screen and Multiply layers with layer masks to add contrast
Hue/Sat layers to reduce the blue reflection of the sky on the snow and tone down the saturation
Highpass for sharpening
Topaz adjust (crip, transparancy 10%) to boost details
dodge/burn to increase contrast
the usual preparation to publish to web
(resize, USM, canvas to add border)
