GREETINGS FROM THE CRITIQUE CLUB

What a splendid image. I am so pleased to have the chance to look at it and enjoy it once more.

You had many comments and they told you want might be 'improved' with this image. You also have comments telling you what a fine image it is.

Sure, a larger size would have been helpful, and you will probably figure out how to achieve the appropriate size for DPC entries soon. There is a tutorial here on the site that may help.

Your sunrise/sunset shot is so appealing. The perfectly captured grains spilling out of the dish, the silhouette treatment, all are powerful and emotive. I have visited your wonderful country and know how exciting and colorful the sun at the horizon can be. You treated it carefully and carried it off nicely.

I look forward to seeing more entries from you. When I peeked at your portfolio I noticed you also enjoy bright color photography. Maybe we will see some of those soon as well.

Nice idea. Colours are rich. A bit to much noise and it does not look sharp where it needs to be

This silhouette needs be shot from a different perspective. there is just too much of the shot wasted by the silhouetted horizon , 6

Very nice silhouette! And it's a mystery to me whatever could be sprinkling down, but it's keeping me interested.

I do love silhouetted images. Very nice. I imagine she's feeding the chickens?

I'm sure this scene gave you a good memory. It's a nice photo as well, but I think you would've gotten more of her silhouette in the photo had you shot it from a frog perspective. Maybe you didn't had the chance to do so, but she gets cut off by the background now. You captured the seeds or what it is very well!

Advanced editing = smoothing out the rough sky at the top.

Great silhouette. I usually like them really sharp but the softness is very nice.

Love the composition but the silhouettes aren't sharp enough and the sky is grainy/pixellated.

I'm really not so sure what this is about, but I really like the visual pleasure of this image which makes it a 7 from me. Very nice!

The silhouette and the seeds falling really make this shot stand out.

The silhoutte with the setting sun and falling pieces is really beautiful.

I like the concept and the use of silhouette, especially with the "sprinkles" so well defined. The image seems soft though, with noised in the sky. 7

Now I'm going to have to say to myself - "What a wonderful world..."

I like the silhouette, but I think this would have been even better had you taken a lower perspective, and gotten more of her body in the shot.

for me this is a bit to grainy in the skyline area...but a great silhouette

Nice silhouette. I'd crop some off the bottom. Seems to be a lot of noise in the sky.

I think the strength of this image comes from the silhouette of the woman so cropping about half of the dark area at the bottom would emphasize this.

Great image, except for one major problem. Excessive JPEG compression is taking away a lot of the fine detail and clarity of this photo. Your file size of only 45k indicates a highly compressed image and that is what is robbing most of the detail and sharpness from this image. I can see lots of compression artifacts around the high contrast edges. Check your compression settings when you save your file. Always adjust JPEG compression so that your file size is as large as possible, but within the challenge limit.
