I set out to use the wider angles and at the same time use some simple techniques. Not my best shot, nor my worst. All in all, a good first photo for this years Photo a Week.

I like the nice low angle you used here. It's neat how the pier and mountain converge on a single point.

I can only the height of accumulated snow -interesting. It doesn't snow in my part of the world. Nice b+w tones. I would like to see more of your wide angle work as you move forward. Wide angles are always challenge to use. Isn't it?

Nice job for a first photo. Great job with the wide angle perspective and the textures in the snow are nice.

Love the composition and the subject. I think it's a little dark though. Good thing we live in California where we don't have to deal with that. =)

Not everyone appreciates the gruelling hours of travel and deprivation you must have gone through to find this piece of Norway that is not entirely buried in snow. I doff my hat. You're not alone...

Dang - how much snow is that on the deck? Great perspective. I love how you used the wood to lead the eye to the mountains in the background.

I think you should be beaten up. Are you done with the snow now? Can we have Spring?

Brrrr!!! I can't imagine snow like that!. Nice shot, and to get out in that cold to get it means you are braver than I would be if we ever got those conditions.

I agree with your assesment, good first photo for this years paw! I love the leading line of the dock pointing to the far away mountains that are dark to stop the eye and give stability. I would like to see more light in the snow in the foreround, the texture could really pop with some dodging.

love the b&w! toning is good, maybe snow a bit brighter, composition is also good with lines leading you in.

I love that transition, the snow to the gravel/dirty snow under the deck. Impressive amount of snow fall on that deck!
