George was first, rescued from somewhere. There are now three other cats in the house and George is fading away. He's scared of his own shadow but incomparably mean (and violent) with the elder of the newcomers.
The sanctuary folk said he was about two years old when we got him, but I think they say that about any full grown cat that isn't obviously superannuated.
I might get a closer estimate to his age, but he's probably not long for this world as he's obviously losing weight. The vet's had a look but there'll be no expensive surgery, that much is sure...
So it's as well to get his picture in first...
Anyway, if I start badly it just might not get worse :)

Love the intensity of George. He's got his eye on something.

Poor George. He has a frown on his face. I probably would, too.

It is good that you got a shot of George. I think it would have been better to get down on his level instead of looking down on him. Of course he might not have liked that :)

Just noticed I missed your image during week 1. I have that lens and took a few indoor pics over Christmas and all are suffering the similar ever so slightly soft look due to a slow shutter speed. Trouble is, cranking the ISO creates nasty noise on those low light shots. Pity about the slight blur as the pose is spot on. (Would be nice to have a VR version of that lens!)

He doesn't look very happy.. he might have kidney failure. I have seven cats and care for a lot of ferals and I've seen this sort of thing before. Is he eating?

I'm guessing that's actually a bit of motion blur (as opposed to being out of focus) since light was an issue. It doesn't matter though, because this is George and he matters, not the technicals. Good luck, we've had cat issues and it's hard when you know it's time.

The pose in which you have captured George is fantastic.

(A little tweak in sharpness and tone would make is stand out more).

i like your crop here. i had a mean cat once. he didn't become mean, though. he was born mean. mean kittens are the worst because they draw you in with their cute little faces and then slash you up with their sharp little claws.

Well he doesn't look very happy, does he? If he does not feel good tho, I'd understand. Best wishes to him.

Who knows what cats are thinking... It must be hard work to keep one's status in the territory :)

This cat is ready to attack. The photo would fit well in an off screen expecatation challenge! What is that cat focusing on, one would wonder??

A beautiful animal. He looks to be very intently watching something. I always wonder with my cat what she's thinking, and the same can be said here.
