The colors and the clarity just make this photo stand out. The purple is the perfect backdrop for the bee. I'm not a fan of insect photos, but very good job on this one. The detail is amazing.

Wonderful. I love the detail on the bee, who is the star of this shot. THe flowers are overpowering him, how ever. They are so busy and plentiful the bee is getting a bit lost. There are some overexposed areas on the petals. Your depth of field is almost perfect. I realize this is a very hard image to get spot on. My one suggestion would be a slight desaturation of the flowers to help that stunning bee stand out. 8

Great image, but it feels like there's something missing, can't put my finger on it.

Just hate those flies, but this is the picture that gets the score. Like the stillness of the fly and the colors.

Maco lens and shooting speed of 1/1000 ?

looks like the bug was just placed there also too much sharpening

Great colors and sharpness. The bee makes a very dead and static impression to me.

Oh....what I would give for a camera like yours! :) Seriously though....this is such a beautiful, vibrant shot...I feel like I'm right there on that flower with him. Best one yet!! 10
