 Literally a fraction of a second before he took off...hence the movement/blur in his feathers and the 'puffed-up' look. Woke up and went for the usual cup of coffee, looked out the kitchen window and he was sitting at the edge of the yard. Put down coffee, ran to office and mounted the 75-300, shot through wife's office window.

Excellent detail. The bg is busy, but I think that works here to show how his natural coloring can blend in.
