A wire grinding wheel. I'll get the actual name of the thing and update this if it's necessary.

Becky and I tried to come up with something interesting to use for this and got nothing. So, we decided to got to Home Depot, and set a budget of $15. We walked around until we found something that looked cool, bought it and shot it at home.

I'm still trying to decide whether to return it or just throw it in with my other tools :)

Looks like some sort of cut cable wires. It's an interesting piece.

Hmmm, have those nails been near a magnet? Maybe, maybe not.
Fun image, clever idea.
Nope, not nails. cut sections of cable that went "spraingggg" when released from tension?

"braided" steel cable? love the red background contrast with the steely grey of the cable. The twist makes for great movement in the shot.

Oddly twisted. I'd say solder, for the texture...

Great texture and metallic tones. This is something I feel I should recognize. But don't.
