Self-explanatory. Found this, probably the hired hand's house originally, located at the back of a client's property. Now it houses only firewood.

pp: crop, brightness/contrast, saturation, clone, resize, usm, sharpen

=======================================

post-challenge: WOW! This shot started out at 6.25 and never went below that number. I was amazed that this simple shot, one of maybe 6 I took of this old house and did only basic editing on, would reach the top 10. Thank you Team Suck, thank you voters, thank you my personal C-TRs (Canon-toting redheads), RayEthier for the use of the 20D and 10-22mm, and Magnumphotography, for not being afraid to push me technically, but only in the best way possible. Neither Ray nor Ryan was there when I shot this, but I blame errrr, credit them both equally for this shot ;-)

I love the way it is still in use, even while it is falling down. Great spotting, capture, and processing. Congratulations on your top ten placement.

Way to go Susan, I told you you would climb up to the top soon and it looks like I was right.

Great capture and processing. I like the perspective of the shot and the framing of the trees around the old house makes it even better.

It looks great on your front page.

Hope to get out with you again soon. I love to winter shoot.

All the best to you and yours.

MAX!

Goodness, you have only used that Canon 20D and the 10-22mm lens for less than two weeks and already you have two new highest rated images on your profile. Very nicely done young lady, I am ever so proud of you. Don't ask me how I knew but I was certain this was your image when I voted on it.

Very well done.

A fascinating structure. I get to wondering when looking at these, if they collapsed suddenly, or if it was a slow thing that happened over years.

These pictures make me sad. Some one's hard work is tumbling down. By the way it is a wonderful picture.8
