faux LB in Photoshop...

Thanks much for the comments, favs, and PB Blue, I really appreciate it.
Michelle is on to me, I'm going to have to change my style. Maybe learn how to focus my camera.

Ridiculously underated - and so I say WELL DONE for creating with your heart not others votes in mind.

"Maybe learn how to focus my camera."

Don't you dare.

Changing your style would be a very bad move! I promise not to call you out in a challenge any more if you promise not to change your style :)

I had no idea that was a cat reaching for the ornament. I thought it was snow.

I knew this wouldn't place well but I have to say it is one wonderful image. I absolutely LOVE IT and wish DPC could embrace such creativity.

I'm gonna take a wild guess and say this is a pointandshoot photo. I guess this is kind of decay of the natural kind, but it doesn't scream "meets the challenge!" to me. HOWEVER, I love it. The cat reaching in to grab the ornament, the way all cats do, is just cracking me up. Fun and creative.

I love this. Cool color tones and a nice little kitty paw. Hahahaha!! Looks like there is some lensbaby love going on. I had to come back to this one... I really love it. I can't wait to find out who you are... I have some ideas. 10 from me. The kitty paw makes me crack up!!

One of my favourite images in this challenge. I gave it an 8 during my voting pass, but now bumping it to a 9 during my comment pass. I love the minimalism and the Christmas connection you've captured. My only wish... that more DPCers took photos like this. Well done.

Now there's a different take on the subject. Nice job.

Love the kitty paw and the Charlie Brown tree. Nice processing too. I'm curious as to how you did this without using an overlay.

Besides that this shot seems like a stretch for the challenge, there are some issues with the shot that the overall effect / impact do not overcome. The fairly extreme graininess, almost everything out of focus, a long leading line that exits the top of the photo for no apparent reason, the same with a fairly strong white line leading from the rightmost branch to nowhere. The cat's paw batting at the ornament gives some sense of "cute", but just doesn't overcome the distractions. 3
You might try cropping about the paw's width above the last knot on the tree, and maybe on the right side to just remove part of the rightmost branch (paw left 1/3 of shot, to tree trunk another 1/3, and rightmost branches the last 1/3. Just a thought.

Though I like the cat foot, and the statement thereof, I see no connection to the challenge topic and to this viewer, the image itself needs some work....3

Different. Not sure what I think about the pristine cat's paw and shiny ornament, but they do contrast with the pitifully bare tree. Ambiguous setting. Interesting ...

Very odd and to noisy IMO. The hand(?)is too light for the background and at first you don't even realize it is there.
