i was looking for insects to photograph and there were a few of these common brown butterflies flying around .. some landing but as soon as i moved towards one to photograph it it would fly away ..
then one landed on my finger .. i couldnt believe it ..
i always use manual focus when photographing insects so i was lucky i was able to hold my arm extended right out to get him in focus .. if i'd tried to change anything on the camera or lens he would'v flown away for sure ..
combined photograph of butterfly with a couple of my daisy shots ..

expect a miracle

i think the message is particularly relevant at christmas time coz there are a lot of ppl in this world who are doing it very tough .. financially, emotionally and all the other ways that i cant think of right now .. and christmas can seem like a slap in the face to them .. if people start believing that miracles can happen in their lives then its like opening a door inviting them in ..
so EXPECT A MIRACLE .. !!!
i'm working on it . !!

I don't usually go for "beautiful thoughts" shots, but this one really works. I love that dark blue background, the flowers, and the butterflies. Magnificent.

Sorry for your personal problems -- especially this time of year.

What a memorable moment! It's great you were able to capture it w/one hand. That's what makes it all worthwhile. ;-)

Sorry, roz... and Gregory, too. Nothing tougher to go through than this. I somehow feel a part of your family having seen the pictures and stories you've both shared over the past few years. Hope you are both doing whatever you need to take care of yourselves.

Love the photo, roz.
