Pretty complex processing job, actually.

From RAW to CS3
Cropped (shot wider than required so I could keep it squared up, cropped foreground and right mostly.)
Duped BG, ran Topaz detail.
Selected for sky and tossed it from the detail layer.
Cloned out a utility pole to the right of the train.
Used hue/sat to take a lot of color out of the sky and darken it.
Separate hue/sat to give back a little of the reds and yellows.
Adamus sharpening.

************

The bright part of the train is sunlight reflecting, sun's directly behind me. The image probably won't do very well, since it's not a building and it's not totally disintegrating.

We don't have a lot of urban decay on Cape Cod, obviously, but the scandalous disintegration of what used to be a very useful light rail system certainly qualifies. We have horrible traffic problems during "the season", when our population more than triples, and we don't have the roads to handle it well. Back in the day, everyone traveled to the Cape by rail and this worked well, but the system has been defunct for decades. Most of the right-of-way has been converted to bike paths, which is good as far as it goes, but...

I hoping this is at least in the Top 10!

Very neat subject, but it seems a bit dark and underexposed. A more off center composition might make it more interesting, too.

Like your subject - just feel could have used an angle instead of head-on.
Makes it very flat.
Good colour.

Different subject matter than what was expected(good). But the decay seems minimal to me. No vote, I'm in this one.
