I've never seen the eye of a bee look like that before. Makes me want to get my macro lens back.

Very nice.

Congrats on the Ribbon and PB Gabriel. Although I prefer the (older non VR) Nikon 105mm f/2.8 to the Sigma 105mm f/2.8 this is a triumph for Sigma's glass and the D80 (in the right hands!)

Fantastic capture of the details, especially the pollen and the eyes. I would be surprised if this one doesn't ribbon.

A remarkable photo and my favorite of the bunch. I appreciate that the subject is the major element so that the flower portion does not intrude upon your composition.

Superb detail on this capture - how delicate the gossamer wings, the hairs, the bits of pollen and the patterns in the visible eye. The curlicues in the attractant flower are very nice too.

Unique hover-fly (I think). Lovely take. The eye just makes this shot. Great focus and pollen on the hairs. Really superb and should ribbon based on the other shots I've seen so far. Good luck.
