 I was trying my new lens when I saw these coloured pins. I like them because they seem toy baloons.

This is good but it's a but the colour of the pin-cushion is a bit unfortunate - it makes it look like you've photographed some extreme acupuncture!

Nice lighting on the pins, but flat lighting on the resting objects. Also, too many of the pins, the same theme can be conveyted with the fewer pins(may be just one or two to make it simplistic) and dramatic light.

Colourful shot with good focus on most of the pinheads. Decent background enhancing the subject. Would have been better if you cropped out the pincusion entirely.

The coloured pin heads on these really pop out against the black background and together they are very cheerful, almost like mini christmas ornaments. In the pin cushion, my eye kept going to the empty left side hole, but I do very much like this composition.

It's a cool shot that would be even better with stronger lighting to bump up the contrast and saturation.
