This is one of the most unsettling images I have ever seen! Really well done!

You sure you're not related to Stephen King? Creepy and cool. 8

Outstanding image. First - something different. I'm very excited. Second, most wonderful story telling and editing. So far my fav in this incredibly boring challenge.

I love it, but as a fan of the series, its Lestat de Lioncourt.

This is creepy ... waiting for the dark prince indeed. Reminds me of the feeling I get reading a Steven King novel ... "It," for example. Even the rustic frame works! Terrific emotional payload. Among best in show.

OK, I'm going through the Free Study submissions, purposefully finding those images I think are shot with a less conventional eye - this is one of those images! Thanks for offering something that isn't just DPC friendly eye-candy (though of course there's nothing wrong with eye-candy). I'll be picking one of these images for the Mu (most underrated) award:

Positives: I really enjoy seeing unconventional portraits in the Free Studies and I pleased to have the opportunity to view this one. I really like the framing of the doorway and the deep shadows too.

Critical stuff: If I'm honest I think you've pushed the PP a little hard, I find the whites of the eyes in particular a little harshly treated.

Overall: A pretty good image, but one that is not best served by PP choices.

Looks like you put a lot of effort into this shot...I think it could be improved with just a bit more care. The lighting/processing is quite nice. Her hand seems to be the center of the light source and it feels a bit uneven from the rest of the scene. If you wanted to focus attention on an area with extra light, personally I would have liked to have seen the emphasis on the doll's face instead of her hand. I like the wood framing...it would have been nice to see a bit more as I like it's complimentary texture and I want a bit more clue as to the environment she's apart of. Probably would have hurt your score though as dpc likes close ups. Oddly, perhaps because it is a posed shot, it bothers me that her foot seems to be recklessly positioned behind that leg. That and of course your title adds to the rushed feeling due to the misspelling of that vampire dudes name. Hope my critique is helpful.

this is kind of "spooky" very well done, I love how you used the shadows and how you grudged her up

Wow, I always want to shoot such photos. However, I have no model and don't know how to make up. Good job. 7
