Aperture: 8.0

Strangely enough I had to remove a cat from the bottom right. I also stamped out a small sign above the patrol car and fixed some spots on the car.

Level Adjustment
Color Balance -> more Bluish (Shadow and Hilight)
Upped Brightness
Border
Neat Image - I must say I was blown away with the results from neat image...never expected it to provide that sleek a look....i feel almost dirty using it.

I had the camera's ND filter on...not sure what I was thinking. I wanted a longer exposure so the police car lights would blur. But thinking about it now the 8 apeture seems a bit small. I do like the lighting, so I guess I got lucky on this one. It was helped by a 420ez speedlight (i'm too cheap to buy an E-TTL). I think I had it on the 1/32 manual setting.

Oh I love this. Reminds me of some nostalgic ad from days gone by. Really fun use of light.

Congrats on the ribbon. You did really well with taking advantage of the moment. It's a really beautiful shot. I love the smoothness that the neatimage created - one of the better applications of the program that I've ever seen!

Not nearly as amazing as your Jay Leno sketch.

Thanks...actually plates aren't displayed on the front of cars in Florida, only in the back. Not good for catching cars that are trying to run you over, only ones that try to do it backing up ;)

Thanks for the comments. As much as I'd like to think our police officers here in Tampa would love to lend a hand to a photographer in need... I believe me crawling around the cars during a traffic stop would be cause for guns to be drawn. Luckily this just appeared that way. Though I must say it was a good catch. There was a major accident on the road and the police car was blocking others from leaving that particular parking lot. The slick 50's auto just happened to be in a spot in front of it. Sorry, to disappoint anyone who thought the shot was the outcome of a high speed pursuit.

Really nice shot! How'd you get the cop to hang around while you set it up? ;-) Great job!

Great shot, definate wow factor. Very well setup. I don't like how the title inconsitant in capitalization, but that is minor. This should be in the top 10, possibly top 3, but we'll see (sorry about the rhyme).

Nice shot! I like the overexposed lights and white car, also the angle and framing. I'd love to hear the story behind this shot...

Oooh, Pretty. Famed a smidge too high? Maybe a change in aspect ratio would help this?

I like the idea, it fits the challenge, is that a '53 Chev? to me this image looks to have had too much enhancement by editing, the stars at the bright spots don't look normal and the shading in the car's body looks contrived

I hope yours gets a ribbon for this!! I love the shot. Some may ding you for the white flares and not-razor sharp focus, but for me the photograph works very well. 8.

Very cool, Car, lighting and setup excellent. Great crop. The only thing that would have made this perfect for me would be a shadowy figure next to the cop car. Good job.
