Funny how deceptive a photograph can be. I'd swear this is mountains with a lake in the front and storm clouds blowing in! Awesome!

Really creative and definitely out of the box. Maybe you should give your self a Post Lumie! :)

I always love the opportunity to spend time with your images. This one is no different. I agree with Steve. There is something very alive in there. It looks more heavenly and angelic to me, especially shining through brighter than the back lighting itself. I see a steamy lake, a nice mountain range, and a beautiful sunrise...all from an abstract of a paper towel. It is always a nice surprise to see how much a creation like this actually speaks to your comment givers. While the overall vote is no surprise give the average voter's expectation of a crystal clear water droplet, light refraction through wine glasses, or the weathered face of a third-world citizen, I still take delight in the fact that there are still many votes of 6 or better. I didn't vote in the challenge, but this one would have been a top pick for me. As always, Mr. Giovanni, it is a pleasure each time I run across a request for a critique from you. Thanks for the opportunity.

Fooled me, I thought it was Iceland on acid. I wasn't one of your low voters... :)

Oh you are a smartie - wish I had thought of this! It does look like early earth - molten lava and all. Very creative.

A paper towel?! A plain old paper towel and some wrapping paper and a flashlight made this?!!! The landscape you created in my mind had wonderful light, rich color, and just a hint of Hell in the movement. I envisioned disoriented souls in a long line on the left, just out of camera range, marching invitably toward their eternal punishment. One of us has too much imagination ;-)

Reminiscent of a Turner. Sorry I didn't get to vote on all the entries this time.

My impression was desert, sun, and water and camera movement. I love this pic.

Great shoehorn! I certainly thought it was a blurred landscape scene! Got an 8 from me and I wouldn't take it back even if I could.

Outstanding! I love it when I find myself giving yours high scores, a 9 in this case. And skewsme got a 10 from me. My values are torquing, no question about it.

Sorry about the brown comment, I do not see the landscape in the shot because of the out of focus processing.
It appears intentional so I made a wrong assumption. I did not mean to be disrespectful.

Of course, if DPC were a juried competition this would be a ribbon winner. Probably a blue. I need higher resolution to make out the features of the creature struggling to emerge from the primordial soup. I swear I see two arms (one with two fingers, one with a thumb) and maybe a head. The unexpected man-made object on the lower left adds to the debate over where, in the universe, this tortured planet was photographed. Brilliant work.

Well, I would not tag this as a landscape; more of an abstract. A very nice abstract. 8
