A weed. Decided to use my default lens for whatever happened to take my fancy today, and this is what I liked best. Some of my favorite techniques to use, too ;-) A little dark but I like it that way.
PP - rotated, cropped, white balance, levels, increased saturation, 2nd layer (lightened, dodged seed heads and a bit of leaves, merged in multiply mode at 30% transparency), cloned to tone down/out bright spots on bottom, resized, sharpened, added border, blurred some edges between background color patches. |

| I would really like to know what these are...I just ran across them when I was in MI a couple of wks ago...are they some type of thistle? Could this have been a low key shot as well...trying to understand that better |

| The lighting seems more up and to the right than backlit, but I'll believe it for voting purposes :D This is lovely and nicely done. -7- |
