I raced down to take this image after work. How lucky to have great cloud formations at 6pm. The pink in the sky is because the sun was setting behind me. She's a great landmark to have nearby to photograph and different light, clouds, tides, etc always make for a different picture every time.

There must be an error on the site with my score calculations.
I think they've put someone else's score on my name and that poor sucker must have mine.

I never, never, never get a score anywhere near a 7 let alone over it.
I think I've done well when I get a six or a bit over. (I'm being honest, just look at my page).

I must be dreaming ... please don't wake me.

Avg Vote: 7.3292 - Only a couple of hours to go. Fingers crossed for a ribbon x x.

OMG - I'm sooo happy. I'd hoped for a ribbon and then to find I get the BLUE - Yay. Thanks for all the votes and comments.

Now it's time for validation. After reading the saga with Jutilda I was relieved to find I still have the original on my card so will be sending in that one (phew!!). UPDATE: Sent in for validation - fingernail chewing begins. VALIDATED - yippee!!

Yes this is just awesome and wonderful processing, just enough to capture a wonderful seascape. Yes, it is my corner of the world as well, actually nearly my backyard. really good shot. I think that you got the shutter speed just about dead on. I would have been tempted in getting a little bit closer to the wreak and waiting for the wave to just touch the back of the wreak.

dickey beach! (my family all lives on the sunshine coast and i went to high school in nambour, haha!)

LOVE the use of the slightly long exposeure... its gives a great texture to the water.
