I just had to show you this...
To catch the exact moment when a drop actually "sits" on the water surface for a fraction of a second is difficult to say the least ;-)
I'm really pleased with the score, I hadn't reckoned with a 6+ finish (well it's 6+ at the moment, hope it stays there) so thanks for that, the helpful comments and the fav.
Btw, this is tap water coloured with black ink. Dripped normal tap water into it.

Hi, just wondered how you 'dripped' the tap water into it? I use a water balloon with a pin prick in it, but am interested how you do it?

Thanks

3x1's 3x2's and 6x3's all need their bloody head testing or maybe they need to try getting this shot for themselves, love it or hate it you gotta give this a 6 up
One of your best I think

Goooooooooooooooooo Irene! Way too go! That's not easy at all! You got mad skills! Wow! You used your D50 and you timed so good! D50 is a basic entry level camera and its not as fast as the D300/D700 ... you got talent!

Irene this is just brilliant, not just the timing, but the tones and lighting, perfect for the challenge, and it just looks so neat, maybe lacking a bit in sharpness hindered the score a bit.

Seems to be one in almost every challenge! You did nicely and lit it proper for the challenge!

Nice work. Excellent light and use of DOF.
I think you played too much with the curves in post-processing: the grayscale creates some shapes inside the waves (but maybe I'm wrong) ... 8

Meets Challenge: 3 of 3.
Technical: 3 of 3. I'll let that poor lone white pixel slide... this time. :)
Emotion: 3 of 3. Such a great moment in time captured and shared with me. I keep expecting that drop to disappear, and it stays there. He's unique, not like his brothers below him. Something we all aspire to be.
Awe: 1 of 1.

Fantastic. Fan. Tastic.
