Finally...a photo that matched the "picture" in my head I was trying to achieve!

I immediately thought of my pregnant coworker, Aimee, when I saw the "Waiting" challenge. She graciously allowed me to have a photo session with her and her husband, which was a first for me. I am just very pleased with how the photos turned out. We had to practically rearrange her kitchen to find the window spot I wanted. Thanks Aimee!

Post processing included: Cropping, change to b/w, adjust levels, soften focus, resize.

This is a fantastic shot. The soft lighting is perfect-o, and I'm always a sucker for black and whites. :)
I like the textures in the hands, too. Very nice.

Very nice. I would have loved a bare belly. The hands are nice. Great focusing on this. Good contrast with the black and white.

This deserved a higher score.
It conveys what life is all about, the sensuality and
softness of the image shows the innocence of the life within
the woman. I love the idea and execution.

Having recently had a baby in our family, this one hits really close to home. I like how you have included the father's hands here - it shows the love of an entire family. A really great feeling comes from this shot. The contrast in the B/W conversion is nice as well.

I wanted to do something like this, but my wife is only four months pregnant. You've captured a very moving photograph. I hope others recognize how nice this really is. 10

Shame it's overexposed... although there is quite a bit of highlight detail you could have rescued using curves.

Sweet image. I like the contrast of the darker hands and shadows with the white dress. Very nice indeed.

This is very nice - with great detail on the dress. It does look a little blown out on the right - but works well with this image.

OMG- She has four arms! How many is the baby going to have? (Just a humerous comment on the composition...) I like the lighting lighting in this shot.

As a reproductive biologist, this one I will admit, I have to be biased. Ten.
